Check-out time is between 8 and 11 a.m.

We request your assistace in adhering to this time frame so that Hospital personnel have sufficient time to prepare your room for the next patient.

Your hospital bill has two types of charges:

1. A Daily Charge for your room, which includes 24-hour nursing care and other daily services including meals, housekeeping, linen, medical records, security, etc., and
2. Special or Ancillary Charges for medications and other special services that may be ordered by your physician. These services include laboratory, X-ray (imaging) procedures, physical respiratory treatments, etc.

Your hospital bill does not include the professional fees from your physician. You will receive a separate statement from your doctor, as well as other consultant physicians, e.g., radiologists and anesthesiologists, whom your doctor might have called upon for assistance during your stay.

Skilled Nursing Facility

The Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), located adjacent to the Hospital on the fourth floor of the Pavilion building, accommodates patients who require short stays in such a facility. Rather than being transferred immediately to an extended care facility following their stay in the Hospital, very ill patients (who live alone or require some extra nursing care) can be coveniently "stepped down" (or transferred) to the SNF. On this Unit, a patient can have access to a non-acute (less intensive) but skilled care environment, while recovering within the Methodist Hospital healthcare complex.
